Your data, and how we handle it.

Last updated 8 November 2026.

Who we are

aidi.ai is made by Vizlake Analytics. For this website, for demo requests, for the sample-company demo and for aidi.ai for Windows and Mac, the controller of your personal data is Vizlake Analytics Private Limited, No. 6/858-M, 2nd Floor, Suite 287, Valamkottil Towers, Judgemukku, Thrikkakara P.O., Kakkanad, Ernakulam, Kerala 682021, India. Our companies in Europe and the Middle East are listed under company details. For anything about your data, write to info@vizlake.com.

This page covers aidi.ai. AiDi Embedded, the report portal at app.aidi.ai, has its own privacy policy.

The aidi.ai apps in your organisation

aidi.ai runs in your organisation’s own Azure subscription. Your organisation decides what aidi.ai keeps and who may use it, and it is the controller of that data. We do not receive your questions, answers or data:

  • your data stays in your organisation’s subscription and on your own devices, encrypted;
  • the apps send no usage or crash reports;
  • an AI provider such as Anthropic or OpenAI receives a conversation only if your organisation adds that provider;
  • our setup service sees only what setup and updates need: the installation’s state and your organisation’s name.

Questions about the data in your organisation’s installation go to your organisation, which can ask us for help.

Trying aidi on a sample company

When you tap Try aidi on a sample company in the aidi.ai app, you create a demo account. It asks questions of Contoso, a sample company whose data is invented. None of your organisation’s data is involved.

What we keep, and why

  • Your email address and the name you give when you sign up, so you can sign in.
  • Your conversations with aidi, so you can come back to them on any of your devices.
  • How many questions you have asked and how many minutes of voice you have used, so the demo can give each account the same allowance (100 questions and 30 minutes of voice). For each question we also keep how much AI processing it used, so we can see what the demo costs to run.
  • The answers you report with Report, with the question before them and any reason you give, so we can look into them.

We do not use any of this for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Where it is kept

The demo’s server runs in Microsoft Azure in the North Europe region (Ireland). Your demo account is a guest account in a Microsoft Entra directory kept for the demo, shown as demo.aidi.ai on the sign-in page.

Who answers your questions

  • Typed questions, and the conversation they belong to, go to Anthropic, which provides the AI model, under its commercial terms.
  • Spoken conversations go to OpenAI, which provides the voice, under its business terms.
  • The app names the service and asks for your consent before your first question, and before your first spoken conversation.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

Until you delete your account. When you do, we delete your conversations, your counts, your reports, the records that name you, and your account in the demo’s directory. Delete it in the app (Settings, then Delete my account), or write to demo@vizlake.com; the deletion page says how.

aidi.ai for Windows and Mac

aidi.ai for Windows and Mac is published by Vizlake Analytics Private Limited, India. It works on your computer, with your own files, your own model and your own AI key. You need no account to use it, and Vizlake receives nothing about you or your data: the app sends no usage data and no crash reports.

What stays on your computer. Your data, your models, your conversations and your AI keys. The data is kept in an encrypted file; the keys are kept in your computer’s own credential store (Windows’ Credential Manager, or the Mac’s keychain).

What leaves your computer, and when.

  • Your questions, with the data needed to answer them, go to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI or Microsoft Foundry), with your own key and under that provider’s terms.
  • The check for a new version goes to Vizlake’s update server (vizlakeapps.blob.core.windows.net). Like any web server, it sees your IP address and the version you have.
  • The sample company, if you choose to try it, is downloaded from the same server.
  • The encryption module for the app’s data file is downloaded once per version, from extensions.duckdb.org. The app checks its signature before using it.
  • The sample Power BI report, when you open it, asks Vizlake’s service for a viewing pass and then loads from Microsoft Power BI (app.powerbi.com). Neither is told who you are.
  • Microsoft’s sign-in, if you choose Microsoft Foundry with your Microsoft account instead of a key.
  • If you join your organisation’s aidi.ai server, the app signs you in with Microsoft and works with that server, and your organisation’s privacy terms govern what happens there.

Deleting your data. Settings, then Account, erases everything the app keeps on your computer. Uninstalling the app removes the app itself.

Demo requests

When you ask for a demo, we receive your name, work email, organisation, role, country, whether your data is in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI, your message, and the page and campaign that brought you to the form. We use them only to arrange the demo and follow it up, because you asked us to. The request reaches our team by email, in Microsoft 365. We keep it for up to two years after we last spoke, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Cookies and analytics

We set no cookies unless you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id, kept up to two years) to count visits and to see which posts bring people here. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.

Our host, Microsoft Azure, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

Where it is processed

Our teams work in Europe, the Middle East and India. The website is delivered from Microsoft’s network, the demo form’s requests are handled in Microsoft Azure in India, and the demo runs in Microsoft Azure in Ireland. When personal data from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is handled outside it, we use the protections the law requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Who else handles it

We use a few companies to run these services: Microsoft (hosting in Azure, our email in Microsoft 365, the demo’s sign-in), Anthropic and OpenAI (the demo’s answers and voice), and Google (website analytics, only if you accept cookies). Each may handle personal data only to provide its service to us, under a contract that requires it to protect that data, and never for its own purposes. We do not share your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Children

aidi.ai is made for work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

If Vizlake changes hands

If Vizlake Analytics or the part of it that runs aidi.ai is sold or merged, the personal data it holds may pass to the new owner, who must keep to this policy.

When the law requires it

We disclose personal data only when we must: to comply with a law, a court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect people, our services or others from fraud or harm. We are subject to the laws of India, and to the law of each country where our companies operate.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave. Write to info@vizlake.com, or by post to the Privacy Officer at the address above; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to a data protection authority: in Europe, the one where you live or work; in India, the Data Protection Board of India.
